TERM 2 Art Co-Op - Crochet Classes

  • Air Cadet Hall 25 Fenton Street Stratford, Taranaki Region, 4332 New Zealand (map)

TERM 2 Crochet Classes

Every Tuesday, 2pm - 3pm

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • 4mm or 5mm crochet hook. Don’t buy one if you don’t have one as Nia can get them
wholesale and will only charge cost.

  • A clear file for your patterns - op shops generally have them for $2

  • Yarn is provided for the sample squares

For older children, confident beginner and intermediate level. Parents are welcome to join in. We will start with the basics of fancy peggy squares, building up to more complex 3D crochet.

You need to be able to confidently make a basic granny square to be successful. If you need to learn, or refresh, you can practise at home (YouTube is great) or bring a 4/5mm hook and some yarn to Tuesday co-op in term 1 and Nia will get you underway.

The plan is to make a series of squares the same size that can be the base for a future blanket (large/small/baby) with other plain or more fancy squares added in.

If people are keen, we can continue in Term 3

$6 a head toward class yarn.

These classes are partially funded, so Inc membership is required.
